## The alphabet changes, the font stays

Choose now: when the alphabet changes, only the letters change

Ipak fonts include the 1995 Latin alphabet, the letters Ö, Ğ, Ş, Ç from the 2026 law, and Cyrillic. When the alphabet changes, you don't need to remake the sign or switch fonts: only the changed letters are reset, and the look and continuity stay the same.

| Now · 1995 | 2026 law | Cyrillic |

## Two kinds of fonts

### Working

For text, wayfinding and official signage. The base is a proven open font, with an Uzbek layer on top.

### Accent

Drawn from scratch from local motifs: banna'i (glazed brickwork), ganch (carved plaster), metro, kalam (reed pen).

### Checks

Gaps between letter pairs, the signs ʻ and ʼ, Font Bakery and OTS checks.
